  23. The problem is that it NEVER falls back to connect.  It will either
  24. connect without compression at 28.8 or reset itself.  To prevent
  25. this I have to manually disable the higher symbol rates on less
  26. than perfect connections.

  28. I suspect that USR only tests it's modems on perfect lines connecting
  29. with other USR products.
